“New SPL Features in PHP 5.3″ Hits php|architect

The January 2011 issue of php|architect Magazine includes an article by me on a subject that I’ve spoken and written about on several occasions now, features of the Standard PHP Library (SPL) introduced in PHP 5.3. Feel free to leave a comment on this blog post if you read it and enjoy it or have a suggestion on how to improve my presentation of the material. Thanks in advance!

  1. Matthew,
thanks for a phenomenal presentation and bringing these data structure to light with comparison to traditional arrays. I will have to review your slides so that I can rewrite my code to eliminate as many arrays as possible. I am excited to see that I have additional ways of improving the performance.

  2. Great article that I’ll definitely be referencing again in the future as I integrate SPL into more of my own projects.
